Microdermabrasion Acne
Microdermabrasion is a new technique. It is a surface form of dermabrasion. Microdermabrasion uses aluminum oxide crystals passing through a vacuum tube to remove surface skin.
Only the very surface cells of the skin are removed, so no additional wound is created. You may have to have this procedure repeated often, and scars may not be significantly improved. |

A deramtologist uses a hand piece which emits crystals onto the surface of the skin, resulting in a gentle abrasion or "polishing" process. Each treatment usually takes from 30 minutes to an hour. You'll most likely need five to twelve treatments which two to three weeks apart. Microdermabrasion is sometimes combined with a light chemical peel to increase the effect.
